The Packing List!!!
For the benefit of all the travellers accessing this webpage (and anyone else who is just curious...or very, very bored) here now is the complete and unabridged inventory packing list of EXACTLY what we (Chris and Paige) took on their trip around the world. We are including this on the webpage because we vividly remember trying to decide what we needed to take - for months - and worrying that we were either forgetting something important, or taking too much unnecessary crap. By no means is this inventory comprehensive for us or anyone else, but it is a good window into where we were on August 2, 1998 when we flew out of San Francisco International Airport. The inventory has changed slightly since this initial list, and we will provide our ENDING inventory list sometime next year if and when we ever decide to come home. (Note - now that we're home, all our crap is long burned in a wonderfully clensing bonfire - sorry we forgot to do the ending list...) We will also periodically attempt to update this portion of the site by detailing things that we've either lost, had stolen, shipped home, or just plain thrown out because we are tired of carrying our lives around on our backs. (Note - hey, they were good intentions, it just didn't happen - whayaguhduh?)
I do have to say that at this point, we are very happy (and proud) that our inventory packing list has served us well so far. Perhaps this list will help out any other potential travellers while you are attempting to put together your packing list.
